A journey shaped by resilience and service
Philip "Okuna" Evayo's story begins with resilience: from Vihiga, raised in Kibera, supported through school by Carolina for Kibera, and trusted early as school captain at Dagoretti High.
He earned an LL.B from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology with Second Class Honours and is currently enrolled in the Advocates Training Program at the Kenya School of Law. His legal attachment at Ngong Law Courts grounds the campaign's justice and rights agenda in practical legal experience.
Before asking for office, Okuna has served through Utu na Haki CBO, environmental justice work, human rights advocacy, access-to-justice activity, and legal advisory support to the Watoto Program in Kibera.
